Shaelynn Moore

Shaelynn Moore, Graduate Engineer, is responsible for the design of civil infrastructure, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of construction plans, and the development and QA/QC of design tools. Shaelynn’s eagerness to excel and absorb all available knowledge about civil engineering is evident in her pursuit of an advanced degree. As a PH.D. candidate, she published three peer-review publications alongside her mentor and continued her Civil Engineering Graduate Assistantship.  The Assistantship began during her Master of Science in Civil Engineering studies, earned in May 2021 from the University of New Orleans, and includes the development of vital materials for instructors using Canvas and AutoCad and teaching an environmental engineering lab to sixty undergraduate students. This requires a twenty-hour commitment in addition to her own studies. Shaelynn executed a research internship and shadowed an executive director of a construction department full-time while completing her Bachelor of Science in Physics. With this knowledge at hand, Shaelynn looks to adapt techniques and resolve issues during the construction and project management of civil engineering projects.

Shaelynn has held a 4.0 grade point average since her undergraduate studies and is an accomplished student-athlete, winning multiple awards and scholarships for her simultaneous achievements on the court and in the classroom.
